Seems like the web site is down. Unable to download Atlantis. The link to Atlantis on KVR brings me to a dead page. Guess development stopped on this..

Very curious about this, too. Saw it mentioned in the Crystal thread and would like to know more about it...

And why ?

Those are just VST dll...there is no .exe
Have you ever seen a trojan in a VST dll ? :hihi:

Are you saying Russians are all criminals ?
Or just me ?
:x

May be you think i'm just stupid enough to post a trojan on a website, tracking my IP number ?

Maybe you don't have the right to redistribute the files..

Many freeware products say that you are not to redistribute them.

EDIT: In this case, I don't know, but just pointing out it should be considered.

+1

That usually is the case, but all the .txt file file says is this:

"Atlantis is my VSTi synth and effect project.

It lives at http://jeremyevers.com

Documentation and other goodies are waiting there for you.

Thanks,
Jeremy "

Sorry, and not to start any flame-wars, but --

The vast majority of Russians aren't criminals, of course. However, for better or worse, any Russian website that is distributing software that doesn't originate from a dev there -- is suspect.

I don't worry about infected dlls. I do worry about people having their machines attacked by rogue websites when they connect there. This is true for all countries, to some extent, of course, but Russia seems to be home base to a lot of that over the past few years.

Up to you what you do, and I'm not interested in fighting this one out. It's all just opinion and experience. But they're not getting my click. :)

Let me shed some light on this. Some time ago, the server where Jeremy's site was hosted went down. I contacted him and offered (almost persuaded :) ) him to let me host the site for him, mostly because I wanted to see FatAss (A Gamenoy Color music tracker) online again. The problem however, was that the database disappeared with the server, meaning that all the blog posts were gone. Today, which is about a month after I first contacted him, I finally restored the posts from archive.org / WayBackMachine. (Thank ghawd for Javascript one-liners!)

So now the site is there in almost its full glory. Posts from 2009 and 2010 are gone, until archive.org makes them available, at which point I'll copy them too. All blog comments are missing too (for now; I'll restore them too, later.)

Anyway, Atlantis is available again. If you find anything weird, like broken links or anything like that feel free to tell me here, in a PM, or you can tell Jeremy directly if you want to, of course.
