Zaplin Music has released an update of their music sequencer triqtraq with Ableton Link support. By connecting two or more apps over a wireless network users can now jam together while always playing in sync. The feature is included in triqtraq version 1.6 as a free update.

The Link feature can be enabled in the triqtraq menu. When other Link-enabled apps or devices are found, all Link-enabled apps will sync with each other automatically. Each app can control the BPM of the jam session, and apps can join or disconnect a session at any time without interrupting the others.

To demonstrate the potential of multiple apps connected via Link, the developers of triqtraq and Elastic Drums have shared three performance videos, featuring several Link-enabled apps:

Triqtraq is a mobile jamming sequencer for the iPad and iPhone, that combines a fast workflow with advanced sequencing capabilities. It features multiple track lengths and speeds, sample import and recording over the microphone during playback. For video tutorials and more information about triqtraq visit: www.triqtraq.com

Link is a technology developed by Ableton that lets a user play in time with multiple iOS devices and multiple instances of Ableton Live music software over a wireless network. The sync option is out now in several partner apps as well as a beta of Ableton Live. For more information about Link visit: www.ableton.com/link

Triqtraq is available on the App Store for $3.99 / €3.99 / £2.99.
