Whitebox have released version 1.5 of Baconfist, the latest in their line of free Cross-Platform devices for Ableton Live and Max.
Drop any sample into this instrument to create a new synthesiser. It features dual oscillator, dual buffer playback, envelope, filter, filter envelope, reverb and autopan controls (freeform or slaved to Ableton metronome) and user-writeable presets.
