VSL releases Vienna MIR RoomPack 5 and MIRx The Sage Gateshead

The Vienna Symphonic Library team has announced the release of Vienna MIR RoomPack 5, a collection of dedicated impulse responses for their Mixing and Reverberation Software Vienna MIR PRO, featuring the late Gothic monastery church in Pernegg, Austria. MIRx "The Sage Gateshead" is a new convolution reverb extension for the company's software players Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments PRO, featuring UK's famous landmark building. Both new products are available separately or in Bundles. Customers benefit from special introductory prices through October 31, 2015.

Vienna MIR RoomPack 5 – Pernegg Monastery

Each Vienna MIR RoomPack comes with a collection of impulse responses, ready-to-use with Vienna's Multi Impulse Response mixing and reverberation software Vienna MIR Pro and MIR Pro 24. The all-new RoomPack 5 is dedicated to the late Gothic monastery church of Pernegg, a small village situated in the north of the "Waldviertel" region (Forest Quarter) of Lower Austria, near the Czech border. The five-sided choir apse and the nave that is unencumbered by pillars notably contribute to its extraordinary acoustics.

Almost 5,000 impulse responses (with an average length of 6 seconds) have been captured from four different microphone positions – near the center and in front of the altar, in the middle of the nave, and near the choir gallery in the back.

Coinciding with the release of the new RoomPack, Vienna MIR Pro and MIR Pro 24 have been updated and come with 125 new Character Presets for the company's recently released Vienna Dimension Brass II Collection. What's more, the new feature "Simulate Air Absorption" automatically dampens the higher frequencies of the direct signal in proportion to increasing distance from the audience.

Vienna MIRx – The Sage Gateshead

MIRx Reverb Mixing Extensions are a convenient and affordable way to integrate the stunning acoustics of renowned concert halls and sound stages directly into Vienna's proprietary software players Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments PRO.
