Soniccouture release The Canterbury Suitcase: Rhodes Instrument for Kontakt Player with Intro Offer
Soniccouture has announced the release of The Canterbury Suitcase: Rhodes Instrument for Kontakt Player.
Back in June of 2012 when Soniccouture were recording their Grand Marimba instrument at Canterbury Music in Toronto, Studio owner Jeremy Darby let them try his Rhodes Suitcase 88. It immediately struck them as one of the most beautifully maintained and best sounding Suitcases they'd ever played.
In the summer of 2016 they went back into Canterbury to sample it, and with the invaluable help of Adam King and Robbie Grunwald got an authentic and dynamic sound. They recorded three different signals, the line-out, the tightly close mic'd speaker cabinet, and natural room ambience.
After several months of painstaking editing, the instrument is ready, presented as The Canterbury Suitcase.
