PlugInGuru.com has released Kreaturesque - a unique vocal sample library for Omnisphere 2.1. This library highlights the wide ranging vocal and sample manipulation talents of Kathie Talbot who is a songwriter, composer and for the last 10 years worked in the world of adventure, thriller and horror trailer film music.
This library contains over 300 new samples for Omnisphere 2.1 including:
- Angelic multitracked vocals by Kathie of Ooohs, Ahhhhs, and many other typical syllables.
- More complex and adventurous samples (Latin phrases, dreamy Enya-esque melodies).
- Spoken Word and Single Words (Where are you?, I know you're in there, What a Miracle, Alone, Blood, Death, Evil, Suffer and more). These are very useful to put thru the granular synth engine in Omnisphere 2. There are also 15 Granular PRESETS included with this library.
- Vocal SFX samples of everything from breathing, moaning, giggling and making the sound of a room full of snakes.
- Complex soundscapes with reverse samples and effects that are rather scary at times.
- Radical Melodyne sound editing by John Lehmkuhl to remove the melody and intervals from all of the samples to make unique variations that DON'T CHANGE PITCH for use as pad and synthesizer sounds.
- Additional Radical sound design by John Lehmkuhl to apply his "MegaMagic" 3-reverb effect processing (from MegaMagic: Bells/Winds, Guitars Part 1 and Guitars Part 2) to the above normal and Melodyne corrected samples to add even dreamier and magical sounds to this library.
- Looping the samples in Redmatica's KeyMap Pro for seamless Equal-Power Crossfade loops burned into the samples. There are both 1-shot and looped versions of virtually every sample in the library.
There are 276 Core Patches created that use just the above samples as a single patch with the same basic layout and envelope shape for consistent use (Modulation wheel on every patch adds lush reverb and lowers the Filter Cutoff).
There are over 106 patches by 6 programmers that are part of the PlugInGuru All-Star programming team that take these samples into radical and exciting directions for use in a myriad of musical genres.
