OverTone DSP has released their 500-Series XL plug-in bundle for Windows, Mac OS X
and Linux. The bundle includes EQ, Dynamics and Reverb plug-ins, offering a significant
saving over purchasing their EQ500, DYN500, RVB500 and DYN4000 individually.
In addition, the bundle is available at an introductory discount of 25% until 1st March 2015.
Bundle contains:
- EQ500: A versatile three band EQ, with variable high / low frequency shelving and mid-range peak filter. The EQ500 avoids commonly cited causes for the 'digital' sound of conventional EQs, using analogue modeled filters to accurately replicate the behavior of analogue designs without requiring internal upsampling or other CPU intensive techniques.
- DYN500: The DYN500 provides soft-knee compression coupled with a gentle tape-saturation style overdrive for warmth and character at high signal levels. Designed to be a 'one in every channel' compressor / dynamics processor, the DYN500 can be used as a mono or stereo insert for flexible dynamics processing with low demands on CPU and system resources.
- RVB500: The RVB500 algorithmically emulates a mechanical plate reverb, still regarded as a mainstay of many recording studios, providing a diverse range of effects for applications such as drum enhancement or vocal ambience. Economical with system resources, the RVB500 ensures sufficient CPU power remains available for the most demanding DAW projects.
- DYN4000: Based on the G-Series channel dynamics processing from one of the best-known British recording consoles, the DYN4000 comprises compressor / limiter and expander / gate sections. The plug-in includes a true RMS side-chain detector and compressor with switchable soft / hard knee characteristic, ensuring smooth onset of compression at the threshold point or more aggressive dynamics control on demand. Switchable fast attack settings are provided as is variable program-dependent release. An expander / gate section provides a 1:2 downward expander or a 1:Infinity gate setting with threshold hysteresis.
