Nomad Factory releases "Garbage LSD" (Lethal Sound Designer) with Intro Offer

-
Nomad Factory

Plugivery, now handling the full development of the audio plug-in line for Nomad Factory, has announced the release of Garbage LSD.

Garbage LSD is a "mind bending audio transformation plug-in with user adjustable signal chain and dual modulation matrix. It provides a series of lethal modules to manipulate, distort, destroy and transform your sounds with radioactive modulation, junk EQs, warping convolutions and scummy filtering to name a few".

Using the various components of Garbage LSD enables one to create whacky new sounds to spice up mixes or create "innovative" textures never thought possible, say Plugivery.

This audio destructor Plug-in can also trash any innocent audio signal path converting it to a highly hallucinogenic sensorial experience. Great for inspired Post-Production, DJs and Sound Designers alike.

Features:

  • Filters (6 unique filter types).
  • Distortion (3 distortion modes with colour adjustment).
  • Lo-Fi (bit depth, sample rate and noise control).
  • Ring Modulation (standard and amplitude modulation circuits).
  • Convolution Reverb (Impulse Response loader).
  • EQ (spectral loss EQ, reminiscent of transistor radios).
  • Compression (Analog Studio Rack comp, simplified with fixed? controls).
  • Modulation Matrix (two modulators; modulate all parameters? with LFO, Envelope follower and side chain feed, and modulate? each other parameters: mod 1 and mod 2).

Garbage LSD is available at pro audio dealers worldwide, with a suggested list price of $129.

Throughout December, Garbage LSD will be sold at the introductory price of $49.

Hey guys, .

Hope you appreciate the nice intro offer. It's a great product that deserves a good try. It's original and it does crazy things other products alike don't do... 3 years of R&D .

We look forward to your comments.

Thanks - Peter.

As soon as I saw it I downloaded the demo, loaded up a looped pad from a synthesizer and an hour later I had lost all track of time. Immediately bought. It's very clean and has a HUGE variety of useful tones to work with. This seemed to me to be a great all in one tone shaping cab for your instrument (at least that's what I'm using it for). The initial release has a few little niggles that I'm sure will get worked out. When you move the order of the modules around the plugin it seems to lose track of which modules you are clicking on to open up. it says there are reverb convolutions included, but I haven't actually found the reverbs yet only the cabs. IT IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF AN ADSR ENVELOPE. There are envelope followers but all parameters are pretty basic mix controls and a cutoff for the filters. Having more control over shaping for convolutions and the filter and even the amps would be ... well I think it should have already been included. That all being said, it sounds really nice. It's very clean and the filters are very musical and useful, and the distortions are all very musical and useful as well. I really see this as a great sounding tone shaping box.

Hello Dasheesh, .

That is a great testimonial, thanks ! I've copy/pasted everything mentioned and sent to our team. We are monitoring users comments and we will definitely update Garbage ASAP to reflect users feedback.

Thanks - Peter.

Since you are paying attention (which I very much appreciate) you could easily solve the problem with the ADSR envelope buy making mod 1 an ADSR and mod 2 an envelope follower. That would be the easiest way to go about it. It should have more destinations though if you do that.

As long as I have your attention I would also like the option to disconnect the filter section from the distortion section for clean filtering. The filters in this are really quite good as far as I'm concerned. Extra compression algorithms would also be nice. Like I said, I envision this as an character or tone shaping cabinet to feed my instruments through. It's almost like an elektron analog heat in software.

BTW I think you guys are really doing a good job with taking over NOMAD. I would like to see you do well. You guys deserve it. All the best.

O.K. it needs MIDI learn so I can assign MIDI controller knobs. Also, if you are going to make more compression models one should be a tape style glueing compression.

O.K. now I'm done.
