JC Productionz has released Retron, a free mono tube amp plugin designed to add light to heavy tonal coloring and light/medium distortion to your audio. Retron is designed to give that old sound to anything it processes, and features effects including a phaser, delay with analog filter, fuzz module and a built-in non-adjustable compressor.
The main filtering in Retron is an 8 stage lowpass filter, and there's also a dedicated filter for the delay/echo effect with a choice of form-pass, phat-pass and low-pass.
Also released is Retron Soundbank, a sound bank for the Retron VST plugin that includes 30 presets incorporating all of Retron's functions. Spice up vocals, beat loops with an old/worn effect to get an aged sound. Mutilate any sound with distortion, filtering, echo, EQ. It also includes presets for Lofi, taming highs and enhancing top end.
