IK Multimedia releases free update for iRig BlueBoard supporting Apple's MIDI over Bluetooth protocol

IK Multimedia has announced that iRig BlueBoard now supports Apple's MIDI over Bluetooth protocol for iOS and OS X. This means that now you have the option to enjoy hands-free control while using iRig BlueBoard with all your favorite MIDI-compatible music apps without additional setup.

With this firmware update, iRig BlueBoard works with Apple's MIDI over Bluetooth protocol that transforms all MIDI data transmitted over Bluetooth into core MIDI data for simple, plug-and-play use with any MIDI-compatible app on both iOS 8 and above as well as OS X Yosemite and above.
