borth audio, a one-man virtual instrument / sample library developer, has launched with three available products for Kontakt 5.4 or above.
Grate Piano ($19)
Scratchy sounds from an upright piano:
- Lowest 30 strings (A-1 to D2) scratched with a guitar pick with different speeds with dampers up and down.
- Two to three velocity layers; Three to four round robins.
- Effects: Reverb, Chorus, Lo-Fi, Tremolo and Vibrato.
- Total number of samples: 1,260 (@44.1 kHz/24-bit, stereo).

Gamble Kid ($20)
The sound chip of a famous Japanese hand-held console from 1989, sampled in detail:
- Square channel: Four different pulse widths with 16 different pitch sweeps (= 64 total), ranging from C1 – F6 each.
- Wave channel: 16 different shapes, ranging from C0 – F5 each.
- Noise channel: each note features a different noise sound (ideal for 8-bit drum sounds), ranging from C0 – G6.
- Additional sound controls: Low Pass Filter, Volume Envelope and Attack & Release Noise.
- Additional Effects: Chorus, Reverb, Rotator, Tremolo and Vibrato.
- Total number of samples: 4,576 (@44.1 kHz/24-bit, mono).
