Heavyocity and Icebreaker Audio have released BitRate II, an all-new semi-modular retro drum machine for Reaktor.

BitRate II uses multiple methods of digital synthesis and sampling to produce "charismatic and nostalgic" drum sounds, reminiscent of 8-bit video game audio. From chipsounds, FM synthesis, lofi sampling, to glitchy circuit bending, BitRate II brings classic rhythm generation right to your fingertips.

Bundled with BitRate II is its melodic instrument counterpart, MonoBoy. MonoBoy makes use of BitRate II's sound engines and re-imagines them in completely different and melodic ways.
