Subatomic Software updates Audulus for Mac and iPad to v2.0 – Adds Math Expression Node and Timing Mode

22nd April 2013

Subatomic Software has announced the release of Audulus 2.0 for iPad and Mac. This update to the modular music processing app adds a Math Expression Node and a Timing Mode, as well as enhanced optimization for both platforms.

The Math Expression Node allows users to enter math expressions.

"The Math Expression Node opens up another level of sonic possibilities," explains Audulus developer W. Taylor Holliday. "For example, would a user like to simulate the overtones of a piano, or build a 3-operator FM synth, or snap pitches into a chromatic scale? Maybe he'd like to create an original oscillator waveform or a custom wave-shaper. With the Math Expression Node, all these and more are now possible."

The Timing Mode is a feature which shows how much CPU time each node is taking. "This gives users the information they need to squeeze every bit of performance out of their iPad or Mac," says Holliday.

Both the Math Expression Node and the Timing Mode can be unlocked in the new Audulus store.

Lastly, the Audulus audio engine has been further optimized, so user patches will run faster than ever.

Audulus for iPad is available on the App Store for $14.99.

Audulus for Mac is available on the Mac App Store for $29.99.

The Audulus Math Expression Node and the Timing Mode are priced at $4.99 and $1.99, respectively.
