The Unfinished releases Absynth Geometron

18th December 2012

The Unfinished has released Absynth Geometron, a collection of 128 "beautiful and dark sounds" aimed at ambient, downtempo and electronic film scoring. The Unfinished says it's versatile enough to be useful for glitch, EDM and world music.

Full of warm, lush and experimental noises, Geometron specialises in cinematic pads, dusty keys and subtle basses.

The idea behind Geometron is global-friendly post-club, early morning sounds. Think riding an empty metro train in Tokyo at 3am, waiting for the sun to rise over horizon in downtown Buenos Aires, or sitting on a Bali shore watching the fishermen go out for their first catch of the day.

The Unfinished says "The collection is inspired by my love for electronica and ethnic/world music. I wanted to make sounds that evoke different global experiences, from walking the quiet streets of an urban Asian metropolis in the dead of night to lazing on an Atlantic beach as the sun goes down. With that in mind, each preset is inspired by a UNESCO World Heritage Site."

Priced at £14.99, you can also download a demo pack of 20 sounds.

Geometron requires Absynth 5 (some sounds will not work in Absynth 4) and uses the .nabs format.
