This is a tool for converting wav-records into midi with very good results.

it does

you sing a melody off key and save it as wave
it converts the wave with your off key singing into off key midi notes

that is if it follows pitch
wave2midi is kewl especially with an envelope follower

so could I load a wav file of a sequence, and it will display the correct midi notes? I'm not singing for no-one

yep.

and save it as a .mid after that
you don`t have to sing
you can even translate your wanking noises into midi

imagine: you are in supermarket
searching for some inspiration eh red wine and then the top 1 song idea comes into mind. you immediately start your dictaphone and sing the whole melody into it. at home you start your pc load amazing midi and voila: midi as food stuff for your (vsti)synths to twiddle right.

Works quite well, confused the f**k out of it with me Morrisey impression though.

Doesn't do strummed stuff on the guitar well at all (well, not the dodgy way I play anyway

) but for picking stuff, it came out quite accurate.
