This is my first attempt at cinematic / orchestral.
Looking for more experienced ears than mine to point out areas where it can be improved.

Looking for brutal (but constructive) criticism of my first cinematic track...

This is a decent piece of music, no doubt. However, here is where my mind went as i listened to it:

This is a video discussing why film scores tend to sound so alike. I linked the video to the time where the author begins discussing the element he thinks has the greatest impact: technology.
Why your song made me think of this: The strings, brass, and percussive sounds all remind me of "big film score action music" sounds i might find in Kontakt or other ROMplers. There's a lack of dynamics; a consistent feeling of "high velocity" on the notes, to my perception. I wonder if your piece might be better served with more subtlety.
All that said, I'm sure this music would fit into any number of films and the filmmakers would be perfectly served by it.

Fair comments, thanks. At the moment I'm trying to get down the arrangement structure, layering and the EQing etc. I'm hoping to be more inventive and develop my own uniqueness as I progress.
