So I have a couple tracks Ive been working on and I love how they have turned out but at the same time, Its just not... "there" The mixes seem great to me, and I did my best to master it myself. Although listening to a pro song and my song side by side its just not "there" like a pro track pops out, its stands out idk how to describe it. Not sure what Im doing wrong or what I am missing here, maybe its just a bad master or is this something for the mixing stage.. Here is one of mine, and one pro track.

(I do have mid side EQ setup on the master, not sure whats goin on, any help is appreciated!)

As funny as that is, im quite serious. Its already saturated but its as if the stereo on the "pro" tracks are wide all holy hell and they jump out of the speakers. My track is just as loud, but it almost sounds as if the entire thing is centered in mono, even though there is plenty of panning, stereo separation on the master, and a mid side EQ. Not sure what im missing, and its not saturation lol id be extremely surprised if that's it. Because I did throw on a little saturation within maximus which made it as loud as it is, so the RMS is hitting the same spots as the track I gave in the link, and its not clipping as far as im aware.

loud is ok for dance music, not so much for an ambient, chill track.
but even dance music can suffer from over brickwall limiting
destroying the HF clarity and dynamic range.
there are lots of stereo enhancers and it is not so much which one
to use to get that "pro" wide sound, but what instruments to use them on.
things like pads and rhythm guitars and arps benefit much from them.
bass and vocals, not so much.

ok, so serious now, explore stereo enhancers and their proper use ;)

btw, Bob Katz K-Stereo Ambience Processor vst sounds incredible but $1000
plugins can be a bit pricey for the average bedroom producer.

Hey man! I appreciate the input! :) Sorry for the late response, busy all day but I finally came home, decided to take your advice on stereo enhancers and what not. And even without trying any VST stereo shapers, I tried fiddling with the stock stereo imager in FL 12. Tried "stereoize" and other presets and such... More or less... Problem solved. Like holy hell, once I really "perfect" that and figure out how to maniplulate this plugin well and other stereo plugins.. Just yes.. YESSSS Im crapping myself right now hahaha thank you!!
