Ares of flight. Melodic trance, feedback appreciated

Background:

For the first time I produced the bulk of the song completely in mono, this for me was a revelation, absolutely.

It made mixdown swift and easy, keeping the bulk of it mono and allowing stereo only on the focus elements, it also made adding effects and ear candy effortless and results sounded better with more clarity and less smearing.

The track so far has taken me about 6 hours over 2 days.

TO DO list:

• Minor adjustment of levels in break down,
  Smooth out the outro so ends less abruptly,
  Some bass adjustments.

From now on I will only produce in mono and save stereo as a creative process at mixdown stage and beyond.

Very good track indeed!
Trance is a very difficult genre to get right.
I think you nailed it, great emotional build up which every trance track needs and excellent use of Synth voicing. Mix sounds spot on to my ears.
Worth a second listen, hopefully that should tell you something.

Interesting technique to produce in mono, I bet it eliminates the temptation to get wrapped up with effects.

This is not something I would generally listen to but I find myself enjoying it. Well done Coxy!
It has a great flow to it with elements that grow and fade gradually in the face of the more urgent instruments. The middle section is very well done!
The Mono Stereo thing is a great idea. I agree the end could be better.
