not sure what musical tastes are on here, but i am a fan of the trance sound of 1995 - 2005 roughly. after that it started to get ridiculous. i think compression and mastering techniques snowballed out of control to the detriment of the sound and feel of the music. i also feel that the scene follows trends in a very unhealthy way.
that's where i comes in.
here is the basis for the trance revolution.
i don't actually know wtf i'm really doing when coming to making a coherent full track, so what is missing?
what would you add or change in order to take this to the next level? (obviously percussion is missing)

As for your track, I liked the main arpeggio and the bass progression, but the whole thing seems like an early sketch rather than a track, not much to comment at the moment.
