Hi Guys. This is probably my deepest song yet. First time recording and handling a lot of vocals. It was Everything on the song sans art (my girlfriend did that) was done by me.

Bumping. Could use constructive criticism on things to focus on for the next song.

Ok its extremely rare that I comment on others music here (or even listen for that matter) so please ignore willfully if you don't like what I say. To me it doesn't quite feel like a deep house track it feels more like an ambient /chill prog house thing whatever the frig that means. It's a good effort and you've combined some nice elements which work in their own collective way. You've obviously spent time and effort in the creation of this and that gets many brownie points right there.
Deep House and the whole Deep House revival thing we've had for the past few years (did it ever really go away) to my mind is nailed on three basic premises
1. Groove
2. Groove
3. Even more groove
Your track is nice but does not groove like a bastard.
Your mix ain't bad, the vocal thing was a good idea and still worth pursuing.
Focus on your drum mix and your bass and less on the whooshy synths and try and nail that deep groove if the Deep House sound is what you want to achieve.
Just make the music that you enjoy (failing that go for a walk, watch some porn, have a fight with a random bloke until something else happens).

Thanks for the thorough response. On the topic of genre, i didn't quit know where how to label this one since its a bit after hours time house, a bit chill, a little disco, and so on. I didn't really make this with a genre in mind. The mix for this one was tricky but I definitely agree with you, between 2 different bass sounds, a pad, and first time working with a bottom and top kick (which made a big difference), I had my amateur work cut out for me lol.

And the vocals. Although it was just me recording them, i was nervous as hell doing the whole process. I hated my voice even after a few takes but decided to try the best one. I pitched down the main vocals and pitched even lower and panned another copy of them with a little chorus to both. it really filled out well and added some weight to them.

The idea is really cool. But could do with a good warm mix to help it stand up with commercial releases.

Also it can get a little and confused in sections I would try stripping it back a little.
