This is a rework of the song I did several years ago, "LittleSpoon" (the link to it is posted at the bottom of the post - if you're curious) I put an unnecessarily large amount of work into this rework, so I hope it paid off.
It seems ironic too that I originally wrote LittleSpoon between moving from my apartment to my dad's in Austin - and now I wrote the rework between moving from my dad's to my Apartment. Funny that.
Anyways, I didn't change much to the original writing, I mostly added to and changed up the arrangement of instruments. Using a proper acoustic guitar, some whacky synths, and proper strings - also a Glockenspiel because why not? I changed up the writing at the end too just because I felt like it flowed better.
I tried using the goofy, but heart-warming chip-tune loop to end BigSpoon just as I did in LittleSpoon, but it just didn't fit as well with the song. So, I just went with a more simpler way to wrap up the song.
In the end the track is longer, and has a faster tempo. Punchier, louder, and more clear: Quite the testament for how far I have come since I originally moved to Austin.
