Any problems with the site? How can we improve KVR?

Isn't that what the did you find this review helpful feature is for? These votes also seem to back up what my general feeling is - that there are a lot of totally unnecessary reviews that aren't doing anyone a favour. The reviews that are voted as not helpful by an overwhelming majority are generally the reviews that seem to think there's some sort of Twitter style character limit or read like someone's Facebook post.

Or you could simply do away with text reviews and let people rate only by numbers. As it is now, most products get no or less than five ratings. Considering a user base of thousands of users that is practically nothing. If people could rate with one click and not be required to write lengthy reviews (with the requirement of a minimum number of posts on KVR), maybe more would users rate products and we'd get a more significant average rating.
Of course you should not blindly trust any internet ratings, but a product that has dozens or hundreds of votes with an 8.9 average seems a little more trustworthy that one with a 10 rating from a friend of the developer.
Text reviews should still be possible, but optional.

Isn't it essentially spam?

It's arguable whether synth1 really needs any new reviews; it certainly doesn't need spammy ones.

Yeah, i guess so. It's beyond me why someone feels the necessity to register to write that. :P
