NOW, he can post or say anything. So, why again am I being trolled because I simply said they were the same? ;)
It doesn't "prove your point" at all! You have no idea why we can't access them! You can't PROVE they're "deleted"!

As I said, if he reset the "private link" or made the file public, we'd lose access to the files. That doesn't "prove someone deleted the tracks"!

But yes, nonsense like this proves you're a troll.

Here's some of my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/shadowsoflife. If you hear something you like, I'm looking for collaborators.

Ok calm down guys, I reseted the links so that's why they weren't available.

Here are the two links. I uploaded the same 24-bit WAV file for both of them and yes I notice a huge aliasing on the one called "aliased". It truly appears on the Soundcloud app and is very noticeable.
Also, if anyone hears a difference then please tell me.

Here's the aliased one :

Here's the clean one :

you are not being trolled, if you have nothing positive to add why bother?

statements like that are inflammatory in nature and uncalled for, planetearth is correct when he says the op hs a legit question. Whether there is an issue or not is not yours to decide, perhaps he is indeed wrong but that does not warrant such comments.

Sorry, everyone else please carry on :)

Anyway, has anyone tried listening to them on a mobile phone with the Soundcloud app and perceived any difference?
I feel alone :D

Anyone has the same problem? :(

Both streamed MP3 files are 100% bitwise identical. In other words, both are the same file. The issue is probably with your mobile device or somehow with the SoundCloud app in conjunction with the device.

The links don't work in the soundcloud app.

I know it comes from the app because I don't get any aliasing when I play both tracks from the chrome browser on my phone. But when I play them in the app, the one labeled "Aliased" is always aliased and the other one always plays cleanly (just like in the browser or on a computer). Did you play them in the app and notice a difference?

These are the good links:

https://soundcloud.com/clonecorp/inside ... an/s-lhNuR

You have to connect to your account on your app to access the links since they are private

I’ve just downloaded the files via my desktop browser (Firefox) and compared those bitwise.

I don’t see an obvious way to access a track via its URL in the SoundCloud app for Android. For the purpose of testing, you should probably make those tracks public so that the tracks could be accessed via your account page without dealing with URLs.

Ugh, alright there you go. Both should be available on my page.

I’ve listened to both tracks via SoundCloud app, and I don’t hear some obvious difference. I would recommend you to test with another device.

By the way, does the issue take place when tracks are played via mobile web browser (instead of SoundCloud app) on the same mobile device (not desktop or laptop)?

P.S. You don’t have to quote the entire message you’re replying to in your message, especially if those are adjacent. ;-)

I wish I could try with another device but I can't.
Nope the issue only comes in the app. It plays fine in my mobile's browser like I said.

You're the second person to tell me there's no difference so it must be rare it happens but thanks for the feedback :tu:
