mixing, any process that interferes with and makes harder to volume compensate is to be avoided.
A design that tries to preserve dry:wet ratios and by doing so messes up volume-compensated dry-wet
comparisons is a flawed one as far as I am concerned.

Do you not level-match the wet signal before blending dry signal back in? I'm a little confused as to the use case of a compressor which alters the volume of the dry output.

Good news. I contacted Sonimus and they will be making the mix control position in the chain switchable. Either before the output control or after.

Hi Folks!

Thank you for your comments and recommendations, it really helps us to improve our products.

TuCo 1.0.1 is a work in progress and will be released next week, mix will have two options:

1) Mix before output control (the current system in place)
2) Mix after output control (as requested by some users)

Sorry, I didn't mean to steal your thunder. It's just that everybody gets upset about these things quickly on the internet. Thanks so much for the mod!

Thank you for being so responsive. Just for clarity, "output control"
is the volume compensation of the compressed signal, right?

That's awesome!! Best solution as it pleases both crowds. Well done!

Love it when plugin developers respond to customer feedback so quickly. HoRNet do this too.

TuCo 1.0.1 Release will include, VDC (Volume Drop Compensation)
VDC is a volume compensation due to the compressor gain drop.
Enjoy it!.

It can also be "Virtually Dissolved Compression" 8)

I'm waiting for the final verdict from the CE's (Compression Elderlies)
