Now that the dust has settled from the Spectrasonics and Native Instruments releases, what new or new version of a host or plugin will be released prior to or during the NAMM, January 19, 2017.

What coming up soon:

Cubase 9. Traditionally releases in December. Hope they include a S1 type of Multi-instrument modular environment and a couple other of my FRs. http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/cubase/start.html

Hollyhock 3. Really looking forward to this. Love multi-touch capability. I hope it also becomes a VSTi. http://www.sensomusic.org/

Wusik Group buy http://www.wusik.com/ww/group-buy . WilliamK has my money and am confident he will come up with something very worthwhile.

What else NEW is likely to be available by the NAMM 2017 so I can start saving?

Got to feed the GAS!

FL Studio 13 by NAMM 2017 but more likely be released March 2017.
Would love to see ARA support which is unlikely to be implemented.
So ARA and a few minor improvements will bring me back to FL Studio.

Sonar does not have version but will be releasing Workspaces by yearend. The Workspaces may be the one feature which will bring me back to Sonar. I suspect that that Workspaces will be similar to Mux, Patcher or Multi-Instruments.

I hope the Cubase 9 will also add a Workspaces look-alike. That and ARA will bring me back to Cubase. But lack of 32 bit VST support in Version 9 will reduce that chance of returning to Cubase.

Besides the Keyscape September 12 release I saw something else interesting also to be released this month but cannot recall what is was. Oh well!

Four great Kontakt plugins promised my the end of 2016.

Personally I am looking forward to the release of Wellenreiter
is a dual-sampler/wavetable-synth. More than 20 filters and 3 slots for hosting over 70 fx and an extrem advanced modulation-system - are these really the same samples i used in the setting before?...

By namm? I dunno. But from namm we can expect all the same stuff that won't be ready until a year later or stuff that is a re-hash of what we already have :hihi:

Not a fan of V1 but may be one with V2!

This might be the most underwhelming NAMM we've ever had.

JFC, if that is true, it would be like admitting that rap ran out of steam 25 years ago.......

Live 10, but could be sooner than that. Dune usually being updated near Christmas, also the Permut8 Xmas present. Softube technical support said that the Modular update is coming soon. Also new synths from Xils and Dmitry are coming.

Hardly wish that Korg would update the Legacy Edition, at least to the Kronos quality for the analog emulation. I'm also waiting for Halion 6, should be a big update with Falcon as the rival.

Live 10 by NAMM 2017. Hhhhmmm that would be great news. I am not a fan of Live but Live 10 could make me a fan. Looking forward to the release.

Never though of Halion VS Falcon but here is the comparison.

Would love to see Korg Wavestation 2, but I do not expect it by early 2017 if ever.

The best part of your post is the new synths from Xils and Dmitry by early 2017.

My GAS is going to make me poor "buy" the end of the year. I will then join GASA, Gear Acquisition Syndrome Anonymous. What? Join GASA now? No way!

Nodal 2 to be released "later in the year."

Some fool will try to do something new and exciting that pushes the boundaries on electric guitar playing, and nobody will care because guitar has to be a certain way because somehow because reasons and the problem of induction so you know we don't know. You know.

And then because people suck the product will be limited in production and at a price I can never justify.

Please delete your post unless a new version will be available by NAMM 2017.
You have been around since 2004 so you should know better.
