Guitars would be cool. Or they might do something else with Hans Zimmer, like Dark Zebra.noiseboyuk wrote:Fun game this. Guitars, perhaps? They did HZ guitars over 15 years ago. I can imagine they wanted to improve on it, but lacked the tech to do so, trying to figure out a way to do multiple strings right.

I still think it will be an actual Stylus.
That or maybe they pulled the effects from Omnisphere 2 out into seperate plugins.. if so hopefully they launch that product by including a stylus in the box. Then we'd double win!

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

DAW? In time to beat the release of Cubase 9 and Bitwig 2.Stan Navi wrote:Maybe it will be a DAW?
About expansion pack, i vote for voices like in Output Exhale!
If I recall they said something different so my bet is on a DAW
or a new plugin.

Did Spectrasonics say anything at all that's even the reason this thread was started or was somebody here just bored?

A short look at Spectrasonics website would have answered that question for you: https://www.spectrasonics.net/

(And also daily Twitter hints. Sigh, only 2 more days of wild and baseless speculation left to go. I'll miss it when we know).chk071 wrote:A short look at Spectrasonics website would have answered that question for you: https://www.spectrasonics.net/

Thanks. I never check out their site. So 10 years in the making leads me to believe this is going to be something totally new and not just an update.chk071 wrote:A short look at Spectrasonics website would have answered that question for you: https://www.spectrasonics.net/
And 2 days to release or 2 days to the announcement that in another year we're going to have "whatever" come out?

Wag - nobody knows whether or not it's release or announcement. There's no real precedent for this, in that they've always announced at NAMM until now, which I think has put pressure on their release dates. With Omni 2, I think they felt 3 months was the longest they could leave it between announcement and release - personally I think it rushed the development and it wasn't quite ready (I still think Tagageddon is a mess, come to that). This time they can do totally as they wish, so who knows if they decide to have an announcement window. If I had to guess, I'd say yes they will.
