Welcome to the present. Quantity and makeup > quality.

So a bunch of reintroductions of the same 4-5 synths then? 808, 909, 303, juno and jupiter?

Colour me unexcited.

Few companies bank on their past accomplishments as much as Roland does.

Right so who wants an Aira themed turntable with in-built TB filters and resonance?

You haven't long to wait now for one.

The chance is, one of these could be useful :hihi:

Roland has great contribution to EDM history, but for some years they're just emulating themselves with half-assed gadgets. I'm hoping for a new take on JP-8000, though.

It was said tongue-in-cheek I am interested in what they are releasing as well. I actually kind of like their release schedule, as it makes gear 5-15 years old cheap to acquire. Nobody wants the xx303 from 2003 or the trx0x from 2008 anymore or the sampler from 2010.

The roland system 100 is all over reproduction and travelogue- the first 2 human league albums that made me get a synth (moog rogue)
I have had modular systems in server racks digital synths vsts (almost everything from uh-e) I bought 7 system 100ms at once and I bought all the plug outs for my system 1 (except the system 1 itself)
And that system 100 plug for me gives me instant human league sounds circa 1980
And it makes me smile
And it makes me fiddle with sounds
Bangs sequels growls drones fizz ring and sync nastiness and I love it
And isn't that what it's about
I don't care they're emulating
Roland are also creating - system 500 anyone
I can't wait for the system 8
Maybe well get polyphonic sh5 and sh7 plug outs
Anyway there's a lot of negativity for what must be seen as a technological breakthrough

Guitarists play a guitar if they don't like the feel or action or tone they don't buy it
Same here love my xox and mc202 (loved my modular and system 100ms :( )
Loving jp08 and system 1
Can't wait for Sept 9th
Maybe just maybe they'll have that acb sampler integrated into a new mc 909 sequencer sampling workstation :)

Is the manual for the Roland System 100 reproduced too - or did they made a human readable version this time? :-)
