There is also Rapid Composer: http://www.musicdevelopments.com/index.html
I did not like that one. It tries to do too many things and has a somewhat antiquated/annoying interface.
And in terms of progression helpers, there is also Autotheory: http://autotheory.net
and Cthulhu: https://www.xferrecords.com/products/cthulhu
If you have Reaktor you might also want to check out Phrasendrescher: http://aggregato.jimdo.com/instruments/phrasendrescher/

Sorry, I was thinking of Liquid Rhythm which is part of Liquid Music AFAIK. Maybe Sugar Byte's Thesys would be useful to you?Kalamata Kid wrote: I should add:
I do ambient, piano music and experimental stupid crazy stuff.
The generative/creative plugin can be audio or midi.
Fee standing app is ok.
Real-time at least on some parameters.
Chord and Progression helper.
For Windows prefer multi-touch. Will consider iPad apps.
A few more suggestion will be appreciated.

With little that I know about Rapid Composer i had a similar impression.mgw38 wrote:There is also Rapid Composer: http://www.musicdevelopments.com/index.html

Cthulhu had been on my radar for a while but had not thought of it as Generative.
I will look into Autotheory and Phrasendrescher suggestions in detail.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Sugar Byte's Thesys was offered at a deep discount not long ago and I passed it up.telecharge wrote:Sorry, I was thinking of Liquid Rhythm which is part of Liquid Music AFAIK. Maybe Sugar Byte's Thesys would be useful to you?Kalamata Kid wrote: I should add:

Your iOS app suggestion look interesting. I will have to look at them more carefully.

There's a ton of great iOS apps for this sort of stuff.
NodeBeat goes free every so often and is a fun way to generate ambient style music. It's been around a long time, so it probably gets overlooked a bit nowadays.
Check out Fugue Machine, Patterning, Soundscaper and Moodscaper as well.
discchord is a great resource for checking out all the stuff going on in iOS music land.

I don't know what's going on at Plugin Alliance, but there just was some sort of a "Flash-Sale Accident" with some pricing errors and I was able to snatch the mpressor at 0$ before it was updated to 29$, then 129$ and then 99$ all in a couple of minutes
The Flash Sale was identical to their recent Summer Sale but seems to be gone now. I don't know if it will return, but hopefully they don't revoke my license

Shows $199 here. Are we sure it wasn't simply an actual pricing mistake you caught?krabbencutter wrote:I don't know what's going on at Plugin Alliance, but there just was some sort of a "Flash-Sale Accident" with some pricing errors and I was able to snatch the mpressor at 0$ before it was updated to 29$, then 129$ and then 99$ all in a couple of minutes

I think they all have their strengths and weaknesses, so I just buy them all. Just make sure that when you rob the bank, it still has money it in it - or alternatively, who REALLY needs to eat when there's a new synth that just come out that you haven't bought yet...

If it's the full product I could be interested.

Gave buying Liquid Music some thought.
I will shorty be buying Kompete 11 so
Thereafter will get Nora. I will have my hands full.
Hope that there will be another discount
offer next year.
It's not just the money but don't have the
time to learn and use all these plugins.
