Trying to get realistic instruments into vsti after my frustration/disappointment with Ableton Sampler
Sure, I can get wild sounds out of it but most of the emulations still sound artificial(to me). The only other sampler I was happy with was DimensionPro & I say "was" b/c of my move to 64bitWIN from 32 . . . now I can't get DimPro to load ...

What would be the most economical emulationvsti on the market currently please ?

Sforzando. 64bit VSTi. Free, so very economical. Loads SFZ files, like Dim Pro does underneath.

If you like Dimension Pro, be sure to install the latest update, https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowle ... 1-5-Update

In my experience, the 1.5 native 64-bit version loads perfectly well. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I haven't noticed anything wrong with it. Admittedly, I also don't use it that regularly, so...

thanks Guenon but it doesn't seem to like WIN10 - at least not on my machine and I've tried everything at Cakewalk's site . . .

Zampler

it also loads SFZ, I prefer it over Sforzando.

Zampler supports only a small number of SFZ opcodes and doesn't read correctly most SFZ files, so as a pure SFZ player Sforzando is much better.
