MSpectralDynamics by MeldaProduction can do that.

Free version of Spline EQ can do that, but linear phase (my first choice for linear EQ).

Now that's what you call a high pass filter!

Ozone´s EQ can do this as well...

How about that, huh?

Wave Arts Trackplug (channel strip) has brickwall hi-pass and low-pass filters.

Fabfilter Pro-Q2 has 96db highpass filters. Does that count?

Just becareful of resonance at the sharpest point. That Spline pic makes me cringe!

I am really looking at the Melda Spectral Dynamics. Its on sale for $115 too.

It does tons of stuff, but what is spectral. Does this thing gate by itself or something. I cant tell from t he video.

This thing along with all the nrew multi band melda stuff looks off the richter basically. Really suic shuit.

It is impossible. Such EQ would have ringing for ages.

Post

Impossible? No.

Like-ass-sounding? Most likely.

It IS impossible. Bricwall frequency limiting means infinite ringing, just like brickwall amplitude limiting means infinite spectrum spread.
Even the strictest FFT implementations would have "roll-off" between bins (i.e. if 1024 point FFT is used, the sharpest "roll-off" possible is fs/2056).

But the real question is -- why would anyone need it? Seriously, why?
