yep - I bought the Sonus Dept. Dark Mass for $6 (plus $1.20 tax) and got the uvi grand d free with that - I *think* it even put it in the basket automatically.Numanoid wrote:Is this correct, is there no minimum value to get the free UVI piano?

Hmmm, maybe worthwhile to pick up then. Even if I don't register it, I think I must be able to get $5-10 for it later in the marketplace.

Wow, this has just been added to the marketplace for $10, looks well worth the money
Who doesn't need another jup like synth, especially if it is 64 bit and VST3 also

Have you listened to the sound demos? Really not sure about this. I did think one of the demos sounded OK but like some have said, there are free synths that sound better than this.

Thought twice, and then boughtATS wrote:Have you listened to the sound demos? Really not sure about this. I did think one of the demos sounded OK but like some have said, there are free synths that sound better than this.
KVR shopping experience, pretty good, Model D was added instantly, and both products where delivered immediatly after payment. Only downlet is that there is no paypal, but credit card opinon. I didn't have to pay tax at least.
Saturn installation went quickly, there is no protection, just to install the exe file I downloaded. I would prefer to be able to choose where to install the VST, but they might add that later?
GUI looks not very good on my screen, it is rather small (think Arturia Jupiter V before the latest version), the red kind of "bleeds" into the grey, so I can foresee some headaches with this in long sessions. Also annoying that the backpanel is shown (ala TubeOhm), nice as a gimmick, but would like to turn that off.
Lucikly the sound quality is pretty decent, and it is low on CPU usage. The four VCO's can be tuned to create some fat sounds, and the filter works well enough. Not many presets, but with such a simple synth, should be easy to tweak some myself.
For $10 it is worth it for me, especially as I got the free license too.

It is an alpha version, or "early bird" version, so there are rough spots to iron out for the dev, the modwheels are not functioning for example.
The presets it ships with are kind of lame, and doesn't show what it is capable off. Just a bit of noodling and I got fat riser sound out of it

I wonder if this means Izotope is about to release Iris 3?
http://audiodeluxe.com/products/izotope-iris-2
I bought Iris 1 for $150 when it first came out. I think I'll grab this for $50 and finally get version 2.
But curious if they're about to unleash v3 and add stuff to make it compete with Serum?... That'd be cool if so.

Is iris 2 much better than iris 1? (I'm not interested in the samples included with 2) so is there much of an improvement?Rational wrote:I wonder if this means Izotope is about to release Iris 3?

Can't argue with $49 for iris 2 - I was kicking myself for not buying it the last time this was doing the rounds at this price.
