Apologies if these questions seem stupid.

What exactly is a "native" reverb compared to a non-native reverb?

If an impulse response captures the essence of an acoustic space in the same way that a sample is a recording of a sound, does this mean that convolution reverbs plug-ins "playing" the same impulse response will reproduce it in exactly the same way, as you would expect, for example, from a sample player playing a sample? Or do some convolution reverbs process the same impulse response files better than others?

Native means it's not tied to any hardware DSP card (UAD, PoCo&Co).

"Native" refers to specific platform, for example it can be native DAW plugin.
