All I have to say is that if it was available for OS X, I'd be on Samplitude in a heartbeat with no looking back.
One of only 2 DAWs I've ever used that I had basically no complaints about.

For some (a lot at the time) folks, the price is well worth it.
Certainly understandable that it's ridiculous to most people though. These day's it's outrageous.

Anyway, their EDL format is almost perfect, readability wise. If I had my druthers (other than tempo) they'd put in some delimiters, but it's really nice.
