I feel very disappointed about ohm studio. Not updating it for years, not listening to users, etc it's all textbook example on his not to run a company. Worst money investment in music I made ever.

They seem to have invested a lot of time into creating a real time collaboration framework:

That should make v2 way more interesting when they get around to finishing it.

And who knows who those alleged major players customers are who license their framework but haven't released an implementation in products, yet.

I surely hope it's Apple since I'd like that in a lot of applications I use. And it does look similar to the upcoming sync features in the next MacOS. But then again, Apple tend to develop their own or buy the companies who develop these technologies.

No VSTs, less tracks, less projects...

Instruments have the same limitation (not loading in other apps).

Online collab already works in Ohm Studio (saves the used samples and references to the VSTs online), instead of being a "upcoming feature" in PT First.

And subjective, but I own Xpand2*, it is nice, but I much prefer Minimonsta and Oddity to it.

*Also I can load it as a VST in Ohm Studio, so...
no vst isn't a catch, pro tools uses AAX plugins which work just great.

Instruments have the limitation because aax can't run on any other DAW.. Ohm studio has the limitation cause they have code in the vst's included with it, to only work in ohm studio.

I did say already it was an upcoming feature. Avid have it implemented in pro tools, they just need to upgrade PT first to the same point release. It will be done.

Sure, i am not saying your xpand point isn't true.. I am talking about a daw that is dead and not being developed anymore, versus a fresh one that IS (and is truly free). Getting xpand for zero dollars is a big deal IMO, just that in itself.

And the discount is live, I got the top version for less than €42 as I hoped :)

Great to finally own MiniMonsta and Oddity, plus a great bunch of effects

That you got no clue

It was reviewed as a new product at Music Radar, just two and a half years ago

That's nearly a sentence....

If it died two years ago, 6 months after release, its still 'years'

Do that. I've got some pennies lying around, that should cover anything you have to say.
