most re-sellers seem to be selling that for around $41 so with voucher should be like $1

Personally I would take a different approach.ATS wrote:niektb wrote:Where?

Purchase Pumper here second hand for $1. It was given free so $1 is a reasonable price, then:
a) use the voucher on something else; or
b) upgrade to the One Knob bundle for $50ish.

Thanks for the info. Currently cant' afford Serum but in any case I would bypass Serum and look into Icarus or Falcon. The Christmas sales may motivate me to spend some money.ATN69 wrote:I have Serum but not Codex. I never tried Codex. I do get the feeling that Codex is a good synth but I saw comments about it's GUI size and I listened to a number of demos. The sound seems to lack the clarity that Serum has. I did get Elements 2 and that one also have a slightly small GUI. It also lack some of the clarity (not saying it's a bad thing). It has its own character. I found that Elements 2 is not shy to use CPU Power but other people claim that Codex is not so CPU hungry. For the Aural Exciter I can't say much yet. I bought it this morning but I need to install it and test it once I get home from office ...Kalamata Kid wrote:for me it is the Aural ExciterATS wrote:Aural Exciter is what I am tempted to get too!ATN69 wrote:I see ..I didn't read the terms. Well, it's fair enough because it was a nice gesture from Waves. I got the Aural Exciter and I also have my Eye on the compressor called API 2500. Maybe I grab that one to.

Or
Codex

What's a guy to do?
I do not have Serum so I am leaning more towards Codex.
Need advice!
I was also a bit interested in Codex but I do have many synth plugins already (including Serum). But the price is very attractive. I do need to ask myself several times "what do I really need?" ..and I did not have any exciter. I have several compressors but none that is really good for bus compression, so I also got the AIP 2500.
I would not consider any plugin purchase but the price is low and I am a sucker for good deals. The products I am now considering are in my opinion worth more then the selling price.
I will wait till June 30 and then decide. It will be an under $50 purchase so the stakes are not high.

I just tested the Exciter I bought and it was just what I needed so I am happy with my purchase. But as someone said earlier, its easy to go overboard with it so I have to treat it like adding a pinch of salt to the cooking. But it does bring the clarity that I was looking for and do also believe the best use might be on individual tracks when needed.

I got close to 10, but the "bigger" discount is only 50% offcocoazenith wrote:UVI offers a discount on upgrades to Vintage Vault until July 11th.
The minimum discount starts at 30% off.
If you own several UVI libraries the discount is bigger.
Might as well just wait for the next half price sale

It's a very intelligent marketing plan that Waves use as a gateway drug.soundbylaura wrote:That's a great price, IMHO.brian7oe wrote:woaa

Worked for me and I've spent hundreds since.
