The famous presets from OPX Pro have a nice 'wow factor'.
It would be nice having something similar for Arturia Oberheim emulations.
A Rush soundbank would be welcome
The entire day I was listening some albums that have Oberheim synths on it (got it from Matrix-12V Manual):
Styx – The Grand Illusion
Rush – Moving Pictures
The Police – Synchronicity
Prince – 1999
Queen – The Game
Jean Michel Jarre – Magnetic Fields
Bruce Hornsby & The Range – The Way It Is
Madonna – Madonna
Tangerine Dream – Exit
Van Halen – 1984
I listened some of that list. Not included in this list, but I listened Steve Roach - Structures from Silence, that makes use of Oberheim OB-8. Any more Oberheim synth-heavy recommended albums? Any version of Oberheims.

Great find, thanks Walterwaltercruz wrote:https://www.arturia.com/faq/utilization ... patibility
So for the moment, the legacy factory & user presets won't be compatible with the new plugins versions.
But, to guarantee our customers satisfaction, we have decided to develop a preset converter in order to make your favorite patches from the legacy versions compatible with the new plugins.
This app should be available in the forthcoming months.

I almost sold my OPX for the same reason, but then I recalled that I had a version for Reaktor, and for my Receptor. I didn't want to lose those, and as I mentioned, it's all good. It can be a little redundant, but isn't that what SAS (Software Acquirement Syndrome) is about? So perhaps i won't buy OPX after all cause i'll be doubling up. I just wish i could somehow play all those presets in SEM

Arturia SEM doesn't have Unison. So, some sounds that are possible with OPX Pro II aren't possible with SEM-V at all.TheoM wrote:I just wish i could somehow play all those presets in SEM or if there were some good SEM presets about! I'm not successfully tweaking the oberheim sound myself at all in either synth. Having terrible results programming them apart from the most basic alterations.

i was being tongue in cheek in that i already owned SEM so i wish it had the OPX presets and therefore i would not be tempted for OPX.
Now to find out even the commercial presets for the older synths don't yet load into the new versions.. well.. for preset tweakers, for right now one really is stuck with what arturia give in V5. Grrrrr.
And when arturia say a converter will be out in months, they mean next year maybe.

Walter, Allen Holdsworth used the oberheim expander with his synth axe.

Just in the newsletter: The Arturia preset converter (allows you to open your old sounds in the latest versions) is available by now.

Listening this album, thank you for the recommendation. Somewhat remembers me the Chick Corea Elektric Band, what I listened a lot in my 15-18.bill45 wrote:Walter, Allen Holdsworth used the oberheim expander with his synth axe.

Listening to this one I would never guess that this was a softsynth:
