If it didn't matter to me, I wouldn't have asked. Thus the question remains, What are the differences between SE and Full?Numanoid wrote:+1 For those really wanting it, the price is within reach for most pocketsTheKid wrote:Doesn't matter. Get the full version.

Hope the dev can clarify.
I will not receive the issue before a couple of weeks, so can't say at this time.

yes, it's a special Beat version . The limitations are:
- Major and Spanish are the only scales that are available.
- No Own Chords feature -> http://feelyoursound.com/sundog-manual/#ownchords
- 6 instead of 15 instrument boxes.
- Only three MIDI exports per session.
- No direct MIDI export from the chords view.

Giving away both of the main western scales for free would have been too much. Personally I strongly prefer the minor scale, but for my Tropical House tutorial I chose major:

Thanks for posting that one, I think I missed it somehow.
I definitely recommend the full version of Sundog; many great additional features available in it. I especially like so many scales and chord mods feature.

Any update to whether you plan to turn sundog into a vst/au version with the ability to use as a midi plugin in Logic Pro.

The easy answer first: I don't think that I will release MIDI plugins for Logic in the foreseeable future. Unlike VST plugins AU plugins don't have a built-in way to send MIDI data to the host. Other devs use virtual MIDI cables to route back the MIDI data, but most of them tell their customers that the VST version should be used whenever possible.patchhunter wrote:Any update to whether you plan to turn sundog into a vst/au version with the ability to use as a midi plugin in Logic Pro.
Sidenote: Some of my customers have worked with the Bidule AU wrapper to use VST MIDI plugins inside Logic. Seems to work fine.
Sundog as a VST version: It's still on my list, but I cannot say much yet. I won't expect it in the near future, as I didn't do any feasibility studies on the Mac so far.
PS: My VST plugin MelodicFlow will get an update soon. It will include some new features that will make the combination Sundog + MelodicFlow quite powerful for many songwriting tasks
Cheers,
Hauke
