Searching for effect or synthesizer bundles would likely lead you to lots of stuff. Xhip Effects come in a bundle for example although there aren't very many of them.

The problem with someone else assembling the files and distributing them is that even if the software is "free", it doesn't mean anyone can distribute. The copyright is still limited to the author unless it is provided under a license like GPL.

Authors could include something with their plug-ins saying "feel free to distribute these plug-ins as long as they are offered publicly and completely for free to anyone who wants to download them."

The problem with that is one thing that annoys me a lot when people upload Xhip without permission: I really don't want a bunch of old versions of the plug-in floating around where they can't be taken down. For example #6 wouldn't make sense to have available anywhere as #7 is the current version, and hopefully #8 will soon replace it as well. Having people download ancient out-of-date versions including bugs and other issues and then complain about them either to me via email or on forums is just annoying.
Free plug-ins for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Xhip Synthesizer v8.0 and Xhip Effects Bundle v6.7.
The coder's credo: We believe our work is neither clever nor difficult; it is done because we thought it would be easy.
Work less; get more done.
