waldorfs attack had a simmons drums preset that i think is the closest ever to the real deal...

don´t listen to the audiodemos, they´re not showing off the simmons set included. download the demo and listen and play for yourself. whever i would be in need for a simmons sds, i´d reinstall attack as first choice...

i'm not familiar with your work but it's great to see someone with ability, insight and genuine interest applied to the task.. the final criteria being derived from noting that your vLinn is priced at a relatively affordable 15eu.

Nice to see there's a Mac version coming soon. Will there also be one for VLINN?

Also, a bit OT but in the description it says the SSM2044 filter is modelled. This reminded me of when people were talking about how a sampled Fairlight couldn't compete with the real deal, in part because the filters played a big role in the sound.

This got me thinking. Are there any standalone filter plugins that accurately model the SSM2044? If not, maybe that could be an idea for a future plugin.

the linndrum used Samples so any sample Player will do

The Simmons used Synths (pew-pew toms).

pretty much any synth with fast Envelopes can do one Simmon drum sounds at a time
so you would need several instances for Snare,kik,HH,Tom,perc and Cymb on individual instances tracks.

Or have one Midi track that sends Midi To multiple instances, all at the same time using some GM assignment

only advantage of the VSDSX is u can have the sounds from one midi track with multi-channel output in your DAW's Mixer
