I have paired a Bluetooth speaker system to my iPad, but when I use the default OS Music app, it still only uses the iPad built-in speaker. Can the native iOS music player use Bluetooth or is it hard wired to the inbuilt speaker or headphone jack?

My test series with iPad Air 1 and iPhone 5C in one of the bigger electronic shops in Germany:
I hooked my devies up to several bluetooth speakers.
All of them did work in conjunction with my iOS devices.
I remember though, that my son had trouble with one of his speakers it just would not connect to his iPad bluetooth at all.
Just go to a real shop with real devices where you can try out and chooose one that works.
