Vote for your Top 10 favorite compositions, in order (most-favorite = #1, proceed downward).

Voting ends on early a.m. (US Central Time), Sunday, May 1.

No voting for yourself. Voters must have had 20 prior posts, or at least have participated in the contest this month.

Once you place your vote, you cannot change it, unless permission has been granted by the moderator.

In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 10 pts (i.e., how many #1 votes) they got, then 9 pts and so on. (Thanks to OSC for this rule.)

You must participate in voting to win prizes!

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

I agree with folderol that this is difficult to judge. Well done, everyone.

1. kryptonaut = absolutely fun use of 5/4 - very inventive. We're so accustomed to hearing 3 beats, followed by 2 in this signature that it's brilliant to hear a really talented musician actually use the 5 beats. The piano solo in the middle just kills it(in the US these days; that means it's very good). Well done
2. ClaRago - very moody piece that contains an amazing synth voice @ :45 and just great counter-melodies around 2:15. Fun break-down at the end
3. davidstiles - when I listen to a Stiles piece, I expect to hear cinematic strings all over the place and this one is true to form. Very polished and beautiful melodies with tympani fer chris-sake. Real pleasure to hear such excellent musicianship
4. Laguna Rising - love the Laguna dissonances and wandering melodies. Unexpected twists and turns all over this one, from beginning to end. Nice piano in the middle
5. Hellfog - with you, I'm always expecting dark corners and this one starts & I can't wait to hear where it's going. Where is it going ? Then it morphs into a beautiful and interesting texture. I gotta get Omnisphere one of these days(Though, if I had it; I might not see the light of day outside my studio for months)
6.bluerobot - great atmospherics which are very evocative of Ice Floes. Nicely done. Great synth timbres with perhaps a bit too much 'verb on them
7. Eric Danger - clever adaptation of "switched-on" Saint-Saens. I become a bit distracted(annoyed) at the repetitive percussion here although I get the drift of what you're trying to accomplish with it
8. Jazzaria - if it walks like jazz; it is jazz. This certainly feels like jazz to me. Nice playing and improv. The timbres don't develop as I wish they would
9. ballacr75 - lovely little piano sonata that turns into a new age exposition. Didn't need to repeat the C section as this one could have ended 30 seconds earlier
10. folderol - I started to really dig the synths here but the timing seems a little rough

Overall, nice work(s) fellas

Well, I almost forgot to vote! But here we go:

1) bluerobot - Ice Floes - Cool sounds, polished production, and a nice eerie vibe. I loved it.

2) Hellfog - Event Arriving - Awesome 80s synth vibe just the way I like it.

3) Mister Natural - Political Theatre - Very fun track, stuffed with all manner of interesting sounds.

4) Eric Danger - Danse Macabre - Very interesting, kind of chiptune-esque version of the Danse.

5) Offthewall - Empty Glasses - Great work on the guitar and ukulele, and a vocal performance that matches the instrumentation perfectly.

6) Jazzaria - MonoMultiModal - Another great performance on the clarinet from you, in this breezy and fun jazz track.

7) Clarago - Look Right - This track moves with intensity, and it rocks.

8) folderol - Ripples - Very appealing chill-out vibe from the first note, with a bit of an old-school feel to it.

9) ballacr75 - Serenity - Definitely serene, with lovely piano ideas, but at times the piano was a bit too harsh for my taste.

10) Kryptonaut - High Five - This track caught me completely by surprise (in a good way) at the 0:14 mark, and then took off for a fun, sort of jazzy ride.

HM to Laguna Rising and Beanpole, who also produced great tracks.
