Cool sounds.
One example using Scrub and Organ with one of those samples.

Good idea indeed.
here's my take on that same wav file OTristan used ( I was too lazy to download another one)

notes: It works best at higher frequencies like around C5 and I did add a bit of sparkverb. Normally I would export the dry wav file, reimport it as audio etc so I can add more 'resources' and start playing with these. The uvip file is included in case you're interested how Falcon managed to produce this sound.

Hello,

Here Falcon crashes when I try to open the soundbank folder by clicking on the triangle in the right browser window, anyone?

Have you updated your Falcon to version 1.06? Because that was an old issue which was later fixed.

Actually it was an updated 1.06, the initial 1.06 had that problem IIRC.
So you might need to re-download and uninstall the old - reinstall the new in case you got the faulty version.

to Jue:

before this thread is again overpooled, some real informations:
YES, there are two versions of falcon 1.0.6 ????????????!!!!!!!!!!!
One with the date 19.01.2016 and a second with the date 22.01.2016.
With the second one you do not have the problem when opening the folder in the right browser anymore.
Are you the Jue from the Numerology Forum? If you are, thanks a lot for your help there!

Regarding imported wavetable files, the Falcon manual (latest version) says the following:

Audio files are imported with one slice per channel.
Slices will also be imported if slices are arranged one
after the other within an audio file, and the number of
slices is specified the end of the file name following an
underscore (e.g. “MySweep_128.wav”).

That's just flat-out wrong, isn't it? It seems that the number you need to specify should be the number of samples per waveform. I'm reading "slice" in the terminology of the documentation to mean one waveform in the wave table. Or, by "slice" do they mean samples? When I use "_2048" to import the files in the Galbanum collection, "_2048" gets the job done - other values not so.

slices term is used incorrectly here indeed. The number of
frames per slice (usually one period) is specified at the end of the file name following an
underscore

I thought, how would be good add to step envelope (and perhaps to other step based devices) the different playback direction modes: random, as well backward, back and forth. The idea is not new ofcourse, but it can be very useful (random especially).

Just wanted to say that the MPE script works really nicely!

A couple questions:
-I've put the script folder into the user script folder (Documents\UVI\Falcon\User Presets\EventProcessors\Script Processor) and when I go to load it in the Falcon browser I see two MPE items with the same name. Only the first one actually loads when I drag it into the part. It works fine, I'm just wondering why the second one is there and can it be deleted so as not to have two in the browser without distinction?
-The Z seems to respond to pressure and the pitch works well, but how to trigger the Y modulation and assign it? I've tried assigning cc 74 to some controls but the timbre expression in Bitwig (which I believe corresponds to the Y control and sends cc74 in MPE mode) doesn't seem to affect the parameters I've mapped cc74 to.

thanks

Quick question: Anybody know if the Factory Content has been updated since release? I just realized that I've only downloaded that file once, when Falcon was 1.00. Has something been updated there? Should I download it again just in case?

Cheers!

No, it has been the same all along, but new things are in the making...

One is MPE.lua which is the actual script while MPE.uvip is a preset which includes the MPE script.
The lua file can be DnD into existing preset to achieve the MPE feature.

Regarding Z, the best it to use the Script Modulation source with the index 1 and connect it to your parameter of choice. This is how the script currently works.
