Propellerheads Reason 7, "ignition key not found"

I just got a new iMac running El Capitan 10.11.3 and can't get Reason 7 to authorize. It was working fine on my old mac.
It says "ignition key not found". I've tried every USB port on my mac with no luck. I uninstalled and re-installed codemeter several times with no luck.
I also deleted the old authorization on Propellerheads site thinking that was the conflict but now it won't let me authorize on my new iMac anyways.
Anyone have any clues. I couldn't find anything that helped online and have yet to hear from Propellerheads...
thanks for any tips...

I used to have Reason No worries first deautorized your old system and come to your new system and authorised it via internet connection. Go to your account and sync your ignition key. If it doesn't work, contact PH support. They might take from 1 day up 2 days but they will sort it out for you.

ok, thanks for the response! I already did what you suggest. When I try and sync, it says there is no ignition key. But when I install Codemeter either through Propellerheads or direct from the website, it seems to find the USB key... This has been the month of dongle copy protection hell. Had similar issues with Cubase's eLicenser...Studio Saturn wrote:I used to have Reason No worries first deautorized your old system and come to your new system and authorised it via internet connection. Plugged directly into the computer or USB hub? I've had issues in the past running eLicenser on a hub. I never did get a Codemeter dongle though; it's optional. I just authorize my system instead, then no online connectivity is required unless I download RE demos.Igor Amos wrote:ok, thanks for the response! I already did what you suggest. hmm this is really unusual, it could indeed be a flakey key...
Props offer hard drive auth with R7.. you're not keen on doing it that way with your imac?

I finally got it to a point where R7 will open ok, but it still says there is no ignition key found. I want to be able to go back and forth with my laptop, so I assume I will need the ignition key. This is with the ignition key plugged directly into a USB port on my new (late 2015) iMac.TheoM wrote:hmm this is really unusual, it could indeed be a flakey key...

Did you try this for a fix?:

Good job that you don't need Ignition Key to use Reason 7.
You can authorize it directly on your computer.
Ignition key was kind of a thing with Reason 6, couldn't have been very successful as they quickly opted for several options to authorize and use it.

Yes, I did all this before I posted. I'm having the same issue on my laptop too. Both running 10.11.3. I can authorize it online but I have to have an internet connection. I want to use the license key so I can disconnect from the internet on my laptop while I'm traveling...Numanoid wrote:Did you try this for a fix?:

Also, my rack extensions are not synced. I have some installed that never made it to my dongle and so there are some that show up as downloaded but don't appear on my account at Propellerheads. Which means I can't install them on my laptop. Kind of a mess I'd say... I did hear from Propellerheads and they are trying to sort it out, (I hope).
