Not just you, I do too.

The UI is ok once I turned off the Reactive Meters, it sounds great and is fun to use. Great freebie.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

So who should I get this free DDLY plugin from?

From iZotope directly: https://store.izotope.com/store?Action= ... uyCartPage

From AudioDeluxe (so long as I actually buy something there first): http://audiodeluxe.com/search/apachesolr_search/ddly

From JRR Shop: https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-ddly

From WestlakePro as an exclusive one-click bundle with Vinyl: http://blog.westlakepro.com/izotope/

Decisions... decisions... I am not sure if I can make up my mind before the promotion expires.

Yeah, I'm going to cut these guys some slack. They want to be able to use it as a promo item, but, if they just offered it for free, then they'd have to incur some costs that perhaps aren't reasonable to them. It's not their business to promote Izotope really, if you don't want to buy something, then there's no reason to go through those guys. If they just gave it away, then they'd be using their own networks to just promote Izotope.

Just got it myself. Interesting to see them release this short time FREE offer just after re-releasing the FREE Vinyl.

I wonder what else they have up their sleeves?? Perhaps this is the beginning of an effects suite??

I like iZotope, but do believe their RX and Ozone is a bit overpriced, especially when they are releasing a new version every year!! The upgrade to RX Adv even hurts a little considering that a number of the features are only available for ProTools users.

As a result I haven't upgraded RX just yet, I'm still holding off for a better value deal.

Can't deny they do make good tech though.

Uncle E of JRR Shop has posted some inside info in the Bargain Discussion Thread:
Uncle E wrote:(iZotope) are planning to announce a bunch of lower priced, individual plugins this year, including something next week that won't be free but will be an amazing value and very cool.

I've heard that it will be a plugin that allows you to manage and save presets for Izotope current and upcoming plugins that do not have that functionality built in.

Shane Robbins (Echo Sound Works) has put together a tutorial video on DDLY.

:hihi: ... indeed. I've heard it's called "SGQ" (ScreenGrabitQuickly), and that the plug-ins will read these image files, as preset "maps", if/when loaded into a forthcoming proprietary effects rack.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

A quick heads up, just downloaded an update 1.0.1

Among some bug fixes it also says improved contrast for the GUI

Post

Is there an announcement regarding this update?

I'm not looking forward to March 11th in the Marketplace

Post

The contrast is better, but I prefer the color scheme from the previous version.
It's easy if you know how

hehe, ya. white-knights can add another was-briefly-free-but-is-now-a-commercial plugin to their list to complain about whenever someone has the nerve to sell it. Well predicted ; )
