I'm new to iPhone audio apps and the store doesn't help me much in finding nice synths. For example something i was interested in - DXi - isn't featured in any list - i had to search for it.

So my question is. What are the best VAs, romplers, hybrids, fx or daws for the iPhone?

So i got iMaschine 2 and SunrizerXS.

Thinking about Korg Module now,
is it any good?

Doea it have any synth sounds content or only GPs, EPs and organs?

In my opinion Mitosynth is excellent.
A wide range of sound source options, extensive modulation capabilities, great MIDI controller integration, ... I could go on.

Fm4 is very nice.
Patterning goes well beyond the most enthusiastic review.
Tempted by iVoxel.

Those are nice apps @Waiting Man, but the OP requested "iPhone" apps, not "iPad" apps. ;-)

Animoog, iMS-20, Korg Gadget, iSEM, iProphet, Patterning, Samplr, and I love iMPCPro although I know many don't. iElectribe is supposed to be another great groovebox that pretty much nails the hardware. (not the sampler version)

I want to second elastic drums and cassini which sounds wonderful, also arpist which I don't see mentioned and which is now totally free and a tremendously powerful arpeggiator.

I'm curious as to everyone's take on midi sequencers for the iphone.

On ipad we have genome, modstep, auria, and a few others, but on the iphone the best solution for midi sequencing is probably caustic, which is a closed system. So what's everyone using to lay down ideas with all of these soft-synths available. Audiojunkie, it looks like you listed most of them, what's your take for tracking soft synths or other midi gear. Not as much for audio?

Music studio works well on iphone I think
