I just got Fugue Machine by Aexander Naut so this in my first impression. I literally just dropped some quarter notes in the mix, synced it all up with Patterning and hit play. Tweaked a few parameters. Wow instant satisfaction. I can see the potential in this cool new app. Next up I connect it to my OB8.

tkx for the vid.
fantastic app, i ve been nagging in daw threads about multiple playheads in piano rolls, but this really takes it a huge step further i could ever imagine. its fascinating how natural playhead variations sound.
only thing i am really missing is a chooseable midi channel per playhead to drive multiple mono synths. and a end step param per playhead.

I'm curious how useful you think it is to have this in a dedicated app. I was looking at this when it was posted on CreateDigitalMusic, and as someone pointed out in the comments, you could easily do the same thing in Ableton by duplicating a clip three times, changing the speed on two of them and reversing two of them. I can see that the iPad app might make for a better workflow, and the price isn't much. Just curious what other people think.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Lots of folks who comment on places like CDM are real dismissive of tools that aid music creation, because it keeps people from knowing how hard they work/important they are. "Nothing new to see here, harrumph," says a bunch of people who didn't bother to code up an app.
Anyway, I took one of the presets and transcribed it to my Analog Four, after some modifications. Honestly this is my favorite iOS music app to come out since Gadget.

Sounds wicked dumbledog thanks for sharing. Lots of replies here. Glad this got a convo going. What makes this app stand out is that it runs on an iPad which is super portable. Yeah you can use Numerology or Ableton no problem but sometimes I don't have my laptop with my especially when traveling. You can use a midi filter app to send certain notes to different midi channels in the meantime. I hope dev is working on a killer update for us.
