Hello folks,
So I was really happy in the last 3 weeks when I went through upgrading from Win 8 to Win 10 and everything was good, until I lately started to notice that I have huge crackles and unstable audio output from my UR824, tried to reduce the sampling rate from 88.2 khz ot 48 khz then to 44.1 khz, tried to increase the buffer to 512 smp then to 1024 smp, and still I have this unstable performance..

Although my rig is still considered good enough as it runs by i7 4770k, 512gb SSD, 16 gb 1600 rams.

Yes I saw that Steinberg website still didn't release any updated drivers for Win10. I also noticed that Windows 10 playback system can only work when I select 44.1 khz sampling rate.. If other rate chose, no sound output at all...

Everything was good with Windows 8.1.

Return back to Windows 8.1?
Do "refresh your pc" and reinstall everything?
Wait till Steins release an updated driver?

Thanks guys looking forrward to hear back from you
Have a nice time

Are you sure your other drivers are up to date? Do that first (especially Intel chipset and video drivers).

My understanding is you will have only 30 days to revert back. Take note.

Steinberg have repeatedly stated they are not fully prepared to support W10 and highly recommend waiting until they have released drivers for their gear.

AFAIK they are coming along with it nicely; still, some things are not yet supported.

Persoanlly, I'm holding off upgrades until I know my current gear will work with W10. It's not so much I can't afford newer models of gear, I just don't want the hassle since my stuff works just fine (mostly :hihi: Live and BWS still giving me problems :x )

There's no hurry, you have until next July or so to get the Win10 "free" upgrade.

Steinberg did release some new drivers for Windows 10 to address these issues, works fine, in fact better for me in Windows 10 than 7 did but I have a UR28M so might be different

mate I'm already there checking steinberg.net support and driver download section, but for all their audio interfaces there's no any recent update! From where you got them?
