Beware about their tech support. I left a message asking some simple questions about TimeWarp (e.g. is it 64 bit? - I play live and for stability reasons do not want to jbridge anything). The message had four simple questions. A week later the emailed reply from their tech support department was: "Do you still want an answer?"
Funny enough, that reply really did answer my presales question after all.

I love Oddity 2 as well but it's synth engine is basically the same from V1 and is as old as the timewarp and it does not do any of the audio rate cross-modulation that the 2600 does. Both good but functionally not really the same at all.david.beholder wrote:It's dated and not on par with modern synths. Oddity 2 is superior and can do most of the things that time warp can.sacer wrote:It is an 10 years old SW synth, with an outstanding analog sound. It competes to Diva and Oddity 2 in sound quality.

When it goes on sale it is $99, and in some things it sounds better than uhe plugins, including Ace.david.beholder wrote:This and it cost $200 when U-he ACE is around $70. No thanks twice.zxant wrote: Wait!! So this thing needs an iLok? No thanks!
People have already said in the thread that no iLok is necessary, it debut with it, but since then it has become a choice. Please pay attention thrice.

I have a question. Will the update be optimized for retina screens?sbangs_air wrote:Sorry you had trouble reaching someone, was this through the Sonivox or WOW site?

I don't have a Mac, but I wonder how many plugins are even optimized in this way. Strobe 2 has the new resizable display, Zebra can have a large resolution display, impOSCar 2 also, and a few others.thomaskyhn wrote:I have a question. Not that many, unfortunately, particularly not instruments. There are some effects plugins though – such as Brainworx, Fabfilter and Sinevibes. And some plugins have optimized text but not graphics.Examigan wrote:I don't have a Mac, but I wonder how many plugins are even optimized in this way. Yes, you can. I really want to purchase this but won't until I can demo it to actually make sure it will work on my PC.sbangs_air wrote:Sorry you had trouble reaching someone, was this through the Sonivox or WOW site?AnalogGuy1 wrote:Beware about their tech support. Is there anything we can do about this?

A software company that offers refunds? Wow. That's a new one to me.thomaskyhn wrote:It was said earlier that you could buy it and return it again.wagtunes wrote:I really want to purchase this but won't until I can demo it to actually make sure it will work on my PC.

Still, it would be a lot less of a hassle if I could just demo it instead of having to go through a refund process if it doesn't work.

Thank you for offering to help! I appreciate that. Did not expect to get more assistance on an open forum than by tech support. These are the questions I sent:sbangs_air wrote:Sorry you had trouble reaching someone, was this through the Sonivox or WOW site?AnalogGuy1 wrote:Beware about their tech support. And this was my responseThis is a pre-sales question for Time Warp 2600. I'd like to purchase it if it
1) is a 64 bit plug-in. I play live, and can't tolerate the slight chance of destabilization that happens when jBridging.
2) does not use a dongle or PACE. I have had trouble with destabilization from software PACE, and I don't have the free USB ports on my live system to deal with dongles. I'd prefer a serial number activation, so that in the off chance that it reactivates during a performance that I can re-activate it without needing an internet connection.
Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help. Are you still experiencing difficulties with your product? Please feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I just wanted to mention two copies of this synth are available in the charity auction, I bid on one already but I don't mind anyone outbidding me, it being for charity and all
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I believe you should send Simon (sbangs) PM or/and email. Check his profile here in KVR.AnalogGuy1 wrote:Thank you for offering to help! I appreciate that. He is very helpful. He helped me twice and the developers are always listening to even the smallest problem (I don't know about WOW but Air MusicTech is good company who cares about its users).
