worth the $29 US price tag? I am currently interested in it, but I am not sure the investment would be justified.

Does anyone have experience using this VST? What do you use it for? Do you like it!? :tu: :hyper: :help:

Thanks!!!

Happened to spot this on reddit earlier

I gather it's quite a comprehensive analysis.

As i know Sausages are generally fatteners, no good.
Reality is a Condition due to Lack of Weed!

are you going to need to fatten sounds in your music quite a lot? then you will have the answer

Yes... it's very good. For what it does.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I wasn't impressed with it.

It smacks of digital software sausage fattening, and doesn't have any of the goodness of my own hardware analog sausage fattener.

Nothing beats real sausage fattening like analog.

Post

If you want "fat" aka digital thin compression with loads of "saturation" aka aliasing, yes, than go for it. :D

Post

It's surprisingly a very handy tool. I've used it with great results over the last couple of years. At $29 it's definitely worth it... imo.

Dug it out and had a little play today. It's got some charm.

Try it on a kick, turn the fattner up, clip the gain and a little bit off color.
Claps/Snares/Hits Fat max and color about 75%.
Bass..leave the fat low and mid color for some buzz.
The color actually produces some nice mid high seperation in lifting the signal. No idea of the technicalities.
I think this is going to stay for a little while, its got its lace on individual parts and maybe the drumbuss for those hardhouse techno acid beats.
Not one for the master buss or instrument buss's I think.

Post

i would never consider it on the master buss, but over the years i have gotten some use for it on single drums, bass and lead. CM gave it 5 stars. wtf? That's a bit rich:

There is no refund or resell policy, and no demo.. so it's up to you and only you whether you want to risk the $29.. i mean that's what it boils down to.. it's a risk because you have to use it to know whether you WILL get any use out of it on your own music.

If i went back in time, i wouldn't have bought it. I'd much rather use decapitator in combination with devil loc and/or radiator.
