hi guys,

i tried to recreate this supersaw sounds but its tougher than I thought. It is really hard to get this punchy and crispy.

Does anyone know how to create this Sound? I have no idea to reach that massive punch.

When making sounds like these, layering is everything. And not only the chord layer - but you also wanna play with a simple distorted saw hitting the root (main) note of the chords. Once you dial that in you can play with different bass patches and boost the higher frequencies for more punch. Also don't forget to use a really snappy compressor like an API 2500 (waves bundle) for the punch and a quality EQ to boost the 10k+ freq range.

^^^ That's the "method" to the madness, ultimately after that you just have to play with different presets and then tweak to find the exact sound.

When you want to create a sound/synth/whatever and you want it to be like a wall of sound, you need to think in layers of low-mid and highs. Fill out the spectrum and mix them together to create this effect. The common fault for most tracks that try and fail is that they're missing to fill out a frequency. Maybe it's too muddy(too much info in the bass region), maybe it's too thin(not enough in the bass region) and so on. For starters, there are tons of tutorials on youtube on how to layer synths.
